    Default Five of a Kind

This was taken on my first visit to Machias Seal Island in mid-June. Occasionally the puffins would line up on one of the rocks but they rarely cooperated in all providing nice poses and HAs. This was the best I was able to capture with 5 in one shot.

    Canon 7D
    70-200 II @ 88mm
    1/320
    f18
    ISO 400
HH from a blind, cropped to straighten and remove horizon, luminosity mask, curves, selective dodging and burning and sharpened in CS5.

    C&C welcome and appreciated. Thanks,

    Rachel

    An F18 bird photo?
Nice OOTB thinking, and very well done.

Rachel, superb shot. great timing to get the head positions like this. good DOF and details. I'd have zoomed in a bit more though.

Thanks everyone. Kaustubh - you're right I should have taken a few zoomed in a bit too.

Hi Rachel, I like the panoramic view in this with all five in the FG, and with the sea in the distant BG. I feel you have done pretty well with the five HA's - not easy to try and get all five where you want them.
