    Early one morning last week I found this avocet chick probing the mud for food. No crop, but some other minor adjustments in LR3. Mother was watching nearby, but that should soon end as this little fellow is close to being on its own.

    very nice, I like the muddy feet it ads a touch of behavior/habitat. good exp. The chick is a bit soft and I wish he had turned his head more towards us

    It's a good shot, I think if you lower the highlights a little and sharpen a tad more the image will look more powerful.

    Nice pose and loved the mud covered bill. A tad soft but yes, sharpening will help. chicks are tricky on that front. liked the composition.
