excellent dynamic pose and great wing position Conrad! I would tone down the beak/talons and overall reduce the contrast a bit. You got a winner frame, wish I get to see and photograph this handsome raptor some day!

Great flight pose and wing position. Open mouth really adds to dynamic image. Good points and suggestions by Arash.

Very dynamic pose. Light is a little strong, but you handled it well. Must be nice to photograph small raptors in flight with a 70-200! Did you draw the bird in with a call or use a blind?

It was actually pouring rain most of the time Chris, the sun came out only for a few minutes at a time. Hope you get some sunshine soon my friend!

I participated in a photography hide workshop for this photograph Doug. PM me if you would like the details. Very nice folks, reasonable rates, and wonderful food. The birding was second to none! Shooting with the 70-200mm and getting **** near FF often was very thrilling. Too bad the weather didn't make for many good photos. Then when the sun did come out, it was too harsh.

Conrad, you should post more often. You've got so many good shots (and expertise) to share.

Loved the calling pose and the perfect incoming angle. I also think that slight contrast adjustment will make it better.
