    Eastern Yellow Wagtail

    Nome, Alaska

    D800, 600, 1.4TC, ISO 640, f7, 1/250.

I found this species to one of the most difficult to get close to while in Nome. This is where the D800 shines. A healthy crop but still left with over 3000 pixels on the longest side.

Amazing to think that not a couple of months ago I was watching this species here in Australia. They travel well! I like the BG colours and the HA. Nice display of the spread tail feathers. These guys are hard to close to!!

    Another very nice one Alan.
Very attractive BG to go with the muted colors of the bird.
IQ is terrific, I cannot guess how big the crop, but I can speculate probably only 20% or so of the full frame.
    Still look great.

Beautiful image of this species, Alan. Comp, detals, and light. Excellent.

Another beauty. All of the colors are complimentary, I would think motion blur in the tail.

Alan - it all works, comp, IQ, pose, bg, colors. Nicely captured as usual.

Alan, superb details, killer sharp and perfect head position. loved the habitat as well. IQ is very good for a big crop.
