The eyes of an owl isolated from an avian image and imposed onto a black backdrop, and "Flood " filter applied, all done simply in PS Elements 9

Phil, welcome to OOTB! Our last bi-weekly theme was surrealism - it would have been perfect for the theme. Great use of Flood - I wouldn't have known they were owl eyes but I love their reflections in the water - they look like sunsets. You might want to crop just a little off the top but let's see what others think. I hope we see lots more of your work here

Very creative and well done. I would agree with just a sliver off the top.

Phil, welcome to OOTB...and how did you manage to capture a night-time image of the Loch Ness monster? Very creative...agree with Cheryl's comment about a sliver off the top...and I'd be tempted to soften/blur the foreground reflections just a smidge more...great image!

    Phil,

Greetings. Ha! I got a smile on this one. Good show!

On close inspection... I might unflip the catchlight on one eye.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Very creative composition Phil! I wouldn't have guessed owl eyes. I agree about taking some off the top.

Phil, Welcome to OOTB. Great first post. I really like the drama of those eyes! Great use of the filter One small suggestion- I might try to get the eyes to look as if they are in the water and not behind it.

Good point about the eyes, cheers for that, I no longer have this plugin on my PC since it's breakdown and rebuild...but might have to remedy that again
