Good one Jeff. Reminds me that I want to go gull-shooting these days to practice BIF photography since... well, I'm as bad as it gets in this department.

Bird is sharp and I like the position in the frame. The tone/color of the bird mixes very well with the background. Also like the wing fully extended.

I do not know what the background is or looked like, but the upper part seems to need a good amount of CW rotation while the bottom seems to only require a bit to get horizontal. This creates some instability in the image that makes me dizzy (though it could also be the red wine I had for dinner.)

I am not on my calibrated monitor right now, but is it possible that I see a minor cyan cast in the image?

Hi Jeff, I like the dynamic flow to this image. I do think there is a bit of a color cast as P-A. mentions. Nice capture of the Ring-billed Gull. These birds really get around! I like the wing position in this one and the whites are nicely contained.

Hi Jeff.....Nicely sharp with good wing position although I wish the beak were more seperated from the wing. The bg doesn't bother me. I am surprised you captured this at 1/500 sec with that much magnification. Good Job!

PA, Bob and Kerry thanks for the feedback and the photo-filter I used put a color cast on the image. I like pictures that are between B&W and full color and still searching for the right balance. I also like natural habitat if not too distracting.

Bob thanks for the positive comment on detail given the 1/500 hope I have the correct EXIF data here and I panned the shot tracking the subject with the highest frame count possible.
