Butterfly Stylized to Red-White-Blue Theme

Started with a black, white and red butterfly on an orange and yellow flower on a green stem. PP- CS6: Filter, Stylize, Edge, HS, adjust hue to taste (sic!).
Seemed a bit like a fitting pic for the 4th. I started to reduce the slight overall red cast, but decided the cast made the image a bit less stark.

Douglas, I like the line drawing look to this. I wish there were a little more detail at the very bottom of the flower. Nice interpretation of the theme

I think you did a fine job with this one for the theme! Cheryl makes a good suggestion.

Cheryl had a good suggestion. I added a mask to a soft light blend to enhance the lower bud and adjusted the opacity on the HS layer to make the colors more saturated.
