    Default Tiger Swallowtail

    Tiger Swallowtail (Explore! 6/26/12)

    1/2000th, F9, -2/3, ISO 1000, Nikon D800 w/300mm F4.

The ISO was raised as I had been in the shadows earlier and forgot to change it in the sunlight. Yet, it seemed to work well. I appreciate any comments or suggestions. Thanks.

Good focus and exposure, the butterfly is beautifully sharp. The two OOF flower heads bottom right are slightly distracting, a little judicious brushing will cure that.

Hi Mike. Lovely soft light, excellent sharpness on the butterfly, good comp, and a mostly clean background (I would agree with Jonathan about the OOF flowers in the LRC). It would be nice to see this at a larger size (please note that you can post up to 1024X800 pixels). This is very nicely done!
