William, a gorgeous base image. I think I'd crop from the bottom and eliminate the foot reflection. That's just my opinion - it'll be interesting to hear other's opinions. It's just the right amount of Oil Paint and I like the lighting. Nice work

Hi Bill, good lighting and use of filters. Agree with Cheryl regarding the crop from the bottom...makes a stronger image...

Hi Bill, Normally I would agree about excluding the reflection but in this case I like the hint of the foot reflected-it's unusual and it adds some interest. I might take a sliver off the left side to eliminate that one bright grass on the edge. Great pose and filtering!

The oil paint filter did a beautiful job with this Heron. The bird looks lovely. I like the position you caught. I would clone out the reflection of the bird and the leaves on the far left, as I find them distracting. The reflection would work if it were of the entire bird. That blue line of water anchors the bird nicely. Well done.

Beautiful base image...I'm leaning towards Denise's comment on this one; I think the reflection of the foot is a strong interest point, at least for me...and, like her, I find the bright spot on the LHS a distraction; don't know if I'd crop or try to reconstruct or just tone down...the curves of the leaves are a nice touch to the composition. Well done!

As I view this image again, I like the idea of toning down the leaves on the left.

Excellent image and PP treatment. I don't mind the reflection, and would leave it as is, or "maybe" toning it down to make it more subtle.
