The bird had just grabbed the dragonfly, then turned head away, so no better HA. . Incomplete and somewhat distorted reflection, choose to crop to at least make the DF reflection visible. Comments and critique welcomed. regards~Bill

Great capture William. I love the colors on these little guys. Photo is sharp and I like the light. Well done.

Nice image William. Like the pose as well as catching the action of snack time! Colors and sharpness look good. Was there anymore room at the top? Personally, I would almost prefer to crop just below the log and have a little additional space above if the whole reflection isn't included. Did the eye naturally have that color and pop? Almost looks a little oversharpened or a little odd for some reason. Nice capture overall and one I would love to have!

Thanks Michael and Jeff. Yes there is room above. For some reason I thought the dragonfly reflection was interesting, and I didn't want to crop to remove it, but I guess I could... The eye pretty much looks as it is; could be the morning light. No sharpening, other than Save for Web..bicubic sharper. regards~Bill

Thanks for the follow up William. Not a deal breaker for me on the crop I just Like seeing the whole reflection as well. The more I look at it the less the eye bothers me. I see now it could be just the lighting and angle. Almost looked like it was ready to pop off my monitor when I first had a look!

Michael, I like whole reflections as well, but only if they are not to distorted. I t just occured to me that when I reduced the image to web size I used bicubic sharpening as well.

Very sharp image with great colors and comp. HA is great as is bc you have the insect in beak which tells the story. Well done.

very nice action, I like the crop, dragonfly and the HA is not bad at all. I would like to see it a bit brighter and BG can use some NR.
