Shot this one very close almost a full frame . It was a horizontal image cropped to vertical and the focusing point was on the back of the bird hence its softer on the head .

Beautiful bird Ram. My biggest nit, you already mentione in your self-critique - the eye/head is soft. Tough to control on, what appears to be, a very steep shooting angle. Had you considered cloning out (or at least burning) the OOF branch behind the tail? I find my eyes drawn to it. I would also consider subduing the highlights of the perch.
A typical Trogon pose, bit soft as said but really nice nonetheless.
Steep angle doesnt bother me; these birds do not hang around at head height.
I am fascinated by the intricate detailing and irredescence on these birds
