I was at Pinery P.P. shooting nesting Pileated Woodpecker all afternoon.
When I was about to leave and putting my gear away, I heard an Ovenbird calling very close.
I played the song and it popped up in no time.
I clicked a few shots and came away with shots of this bird's picture beside the Pileated, to complete a wonderful day.
(I removed an OOF branch from behind the bird.
    Thanks for looking.

Nice work Karl! Like the positioning in the frame. Good job with the exposure and fill flash. Also good work with the PP as it is not noticeable at least to me. Looking forward to the pileated shots as well. Still trying to track down some of our local ones myself to get some glass on!

Stunning shot of a difficult bird, Karl. Exposure and use of flash are great, PP work looks fine, pose is terrific. I hear these guys in the woods constantly, and can hardly ever get a good look at them, much less a clear shot. Very well done.

Nice bird, pose and IQ. Good PP job. I like the little green vegetation on the sides of the frame. Well done.

Lovely. Pretty and clean with a great singing pose. Love the lichens on the perch. I believe that the whitewash could go.

Very nice shot, the fact that the bird is singing makes all the difference. Although I do not think the image is overexposed I would be tempted to lower the highlights a little bit, I think it will improve detail.
