    Default Black Crowned Night Heron

I found a new spot and decided to hit it up.

I waited for evening light as the sun cast a golden tint on the water. I dunno if i like that or not, some people have, especially those who bought the print from me.

    1d IV w/ canon 800mm handheld.

    Feel free to critique:

    Welcome to BPN

Nice first post. I like the BG and a good perch, head looks a bit soft and wish for a slight head turn towards us.

I would move him to the right and also remove the magenta cast. The watermark is distracting.

TFS looking forward to more images.

Lovely bird and unique background (BG). I agree with Arash on not keeping your bird so centered. Using the rule of thirds, it would be nice to see him more to the right of the frame and looking into the frame to the left. Agree on a magenta cast on your bird.

Look forward to seeing more of your work!

I agree with Arash and Marina. I do love the background and colour to it...looks to me like you've found a great spot.

P.S. Bird in shade with a bright (or sunny) background is ideal for flash. Keep them coming!!
