    Default Mexican spotted wood turtle

While driving in the roads of Oaxaca this passed week we rescued this endemic turtle that was crossing a major road. We took the opportunity to take some photos.

Hi Lorant - I like this a lot. Nice head on pose and low pov. Good choice on the dof too.

I like the head-on look and the detail Lorant.
I might sharpen the head some more as presented. Soft light worked out well.
Centred placement was a great choice here.

    Hi Lorant,
good to see something different here.
Like the low shooting angle ,the composition works well, lovely colors and detail.
I might tone down the Highlights on the carapax.
    Cheers Andreas

Hi Lorant, good call on the low perspective and I do think the central placement works on this one. Using the flash has certainly helped in the shadow areas and good to see in a subtle way, i.e. the image does not convey flash used. Wonder if a slight toning down of the Red may help? Great to see a new species posted.
