This little one was hunting for Dragon Flies and caught a few. Here it is streching out its neck to make the catch.

Nice shot Jeff! I like the pose and head angle. Heron is nice and sharp and the colors look good! Been trying to track down some of these guys myself to photograph. They aren't too easy to find around my area.

Nice pose on this tough to shoot subject. Might tone down the Bg some as the brightness seems to distract from the main subject.

I like your shooting angle and the pose. Nice details and exposures. Colors look spot on.

I think opening the aperture a bit might have been better for the BG.

Amazing detail in the feather patterns, and the light has brought out the colors well...agree in regards to the background being a bit bright and needs toning or blurring back and an aperture of perhaps f6.5 may of helped a little with that effect

I see this guy is back (unless it's from last year). Good vertical comp and details and colours look good. Light was getting harsh here, and I agree opening up the aperture may have yield a better BG.

Thanks All. I will tone down the BG a bit. This was taken last Friday Daniel and I was able to take a bunch of photo's of it catching Dragon Flies....Amazing patients and speed. I will post the catch today.
