    Default Pyrrhuloxia

I photographed this bird at Bill Forbes' pond at Elephant Head. He was an infrequent visitor, so I was pleased to get a decent frame of him!

Hi Doug, love the pose with the body leaning forward, and the tail near vertical. I really like the colours on this species, and you have nailed the DOF and sharpness. Sweet BG, and Im amazed how birds manage to land on these thorny perches without stabbing themselves.

A lovely image with a great BG & HA. I like the prickly perch & how it dissects the frame.

    Striking image, Doug .
I really like the rich colours of the bird, the looking back pose and the diagonal perch as well as the nice background.
