Excellent pose, love the mid-flight change of direction that appears to be happening here. I also like the talons against the tail. Exposure and details look good. I only find the sky's hue to be a little too electric, and I may take some off the bottom. Well done!

Very nice flight pose, Tom. Whites turned out well. I like the head turn and the talons. The crop isn't working for me. Looks too square. Would like to see more on the right if you have it and some off of the bottom.

The nice light helped you bring out the best in the bird. Excellent sharpness, and I love those dangling talons. Agree with Daniel's two points; cropping and desaturating the sky a bit.

Welcome Tom. Where do you live? Nice bird and image capture. Whites on left underwing too bright. Crop unwieldy. Repost addresses both issues and sky lightened a bit.

The rework I think is an improvement, but the original was 99% perfect anyway...stunning action caught and great against the blue sky

Birding or bird photography? Or Photoshop? If you join us here you will learn a ton.

To speed up the learning curve I can recommend that the two book (ABP and ABP II) bundle here and everything that you need to know about Photoshop in Digital Basics here.
