This is very nicely done, Mike. The light is great and bird sharp. I might have left off some of the pine at the bottom. Seems like too much perch. Then again, I'm no expert on this stuff.

I'd probably go for a square crop, though I know many don't like that.
Sweet, makes me want to hop on a plane right now ;)
I'd probably do some selective sharpening on the bird.

A really lovely composition of this Bluebird Mike. Can't make my mind up about the perch but I think I would stick with what you have presented here. The Bluebird looks a tad soft on my monitor.

    Great perch and background !

I'd actually like to see more of the perch with a looser crop so that the end of the
    branch is not clipped.

This is beautiful, Mike. Love light and colours - agree that the bird looks a little soft and agree with Mike about the cropped tip of the perch - I think it would be better to see the end of the branch

To me this is a stunning photo. The composition works beautifully, balanced by the 2 cones. (cut-off branch not a problem or distracting). Nice Bacground and the bird looks sharp to me.

I'm no expert Ansel. But I tell you Mike, this composition rocks. I would like to see the tip of the perch. the two pine cones are a real plus. The soft colors are very pleasing. The head and eye is somewhat soft, but you can fix that. You have a very nice soothing image here. A big congrats is in order. Just tweak it some. :)

Well thanks for all the fine feedback guys! I haven't sharpened this yet, but will run about a 80, .02 in Smart Sharpen and see how it looks. I hear you guys as well on that top left hand part of the pine... I won't be able to get that back as this was a full frmaer... but theres always next time. ;)

Mike, very nice image. I like the composition. I might run a little more USM on the eye.
