This paddleboarder really seemed to be enjoying the waves and I liked the pose & intense focus on his face. Some levels and color adjustments in CS5, then tried for a more smooth, glassy look to the waves by using some Nik Color EFEX Pro / Tonal Contrast.

Brendan, I love the painterly effect on the water in the background; I might evict some of the lighter tones in the edge of the wave just above the blade of the paddle. Nice mix processing...the sharp detail retain in some areas, the watercolor effect in others...nice job!

Brendan, I like the diagonal lines of the board and paddle and the smooth/sharp areas as John mentioned. Love the colors

Excellent take on the weekly theme! I too love diagonal line of the board. You did well with harsh light. Very nice!

Beautiful tones of red, white and blue in this image. This is the first I've known about paddle boarding. What is the thing around his ankle with a line going back into the water?

Love the colors and the very determined look on the man's face. What is he tethered to? I keep looking at this thinking I'd never even be able to stand up on it, never mind paddling through the waves

Excellent comp, color, and treatment on the water, Brendan. Very punchy, and it makes me want to jump in. Very nice.
