Default July Theme: Black And White Birds.

Some of the tougher birds to expose for, especially in sunny conditions, are the ones that are mostly black and white. Hooded Mergansers, chickadees (or "tits" in the Old World), many woodpeckers, skimmers, terns (and many others) are some examples of birds that can give some headaches to the unitiated! For July, lets see some of these beautifully contrasty birds!!

To start a new theme thread, simply post an image as per usual in Avian, and in the title select "Theme" from the drop-down menu.

    Hey Daniel:

What about common loons! Last time I checked, they were Black and White. I might have one or two of those images around
