    Default Great Grey Heron fly-by

Haven't photographed much this year. Processing from the queue.

This Grey Heron was photographed in December last year in Pashan, Pune, India
The bg is a bit uneven, but I felt like it gave the image some depth.

    Canon 1D4, 700mm
    1/1600, f5.6, iso 800, manual, hand-held.

    All comments appreciated.
    Thanks

Hi Sidharth, I like the wing position of the heron and the light is nice. The BG is fine with me. Nice image...

Sidharth, I like the wing position and flight angle...BG is also fine but I see noise in blacks of wings and could be possibly result of trying to pull too much from shadow details...Other than that this is fine capture.

Nice wing pose for sure, sharp and smooth backdrop, excellent light in this, I cant really see any graininess in the shadows on my monitor

Sweet light, nice wing position and placement in frame all combine for a well captured image.

Hi Sid, great flight posture with the forward wing position. The light looks good, showing up nice feather detail, and I like how the BG colours compliment the heron.

Nice details Sidharth, wing angle is perfect for these and the BG is a fantastic complement to the bird.

Thank you all. Appreciate the comments.

Maya, I did not pull up any shadows in this image. I typically expose to the right so I can avoid doing that.
The black feathers do have a weathered texture and I didn't think it was noise, although I will certainly give it a closer look when I get home.
