This chick is probably about 3.5 weeks old. He was stretching and doing some flapping, very cute. Always amazing that those little stubby wings will grow so big and long!

    Post:

Selective sharpening, touch of tonal contrast, crop about 10% for comp, smoothed upper background a bit.

Always interesting to sharpen these fuzzy little guys. Easy to overdo it and make them rather crunchy looking.

    Advice and comments always appreciated.

    Cheers

    Hi Randy,
I love this one! It is so different and unusual. I love how his head is raised from the water and the putstretched wings are so funny looking- at first I thought they were the legs!
    Sharpening looks good.
    POV excellent.
    Well done!

    Cute image for sure, Randy.
I like the pano crop and the color is very pleasing.
I think a tad more contrast would look nice.

Randy, I am totally enjoying this series. What a sweet image here. I could see a very slight trim from the right.

Randy - very cute and unusual. Nice job on the sharpening, it doesn't look crunchy at all. You really do get an amazing pov from the boat. I presume you left the floating debris on the rhs in on purpose but it can easily be removed.

What a neat photo and good for you to get it. My first thought was someone was trying out for the Olympics- butterfly stroke.
POV is excellent as is sharpness. A really different set of colors with lots of midtones so I could see something to get a bit more contrast or vibrance.

This is over the top behavior, Randy. Sharpening looks good but I would tone it down a tad. I am truly envious of this one!!!

    Hi Randy,
Pose is very nice but iamge looks like it needs some more processing. Also cropped a bit tighter and removed some of the brown areas at the top.

Hi Randy, just love the pose with the raised head above the water, together with those tiny fluffy raised wings. I feel you have the sharpening spot on.
