This morning at a local wildlife sanctuary I found this pretty bird among the bulrushes. The Audubon Society constructed a lot of nest-boxes a few years ago in order to attract this species, and the project has been quite successful -- note the leg-band. I did some cropping and adjustments in LR3.

    Wendell:

Nice pose, sharp, a bit different BG for this species.

The exposure looks just a bit hot on the throat. In a perfect world, wish the lower reed didn't cut his tail.

If the image quality will hold up, I would crop some from the top to eliminate a bit of the clutter, and then balance the other sides as needed for a nice comp.

    Cheers

A neat looking shot and I like the habitat. Bird is too centered in frame for me and an easy fix in the field. I also agree with Randy about the lower reed but sometimes you have to take what you can.
