It's always fun to ride the country roads and search for good looking and well weathered fence posts for bird photography. Savannah Sparrows make great subjects in those areas too as they are quite common and usually very cooperative.

Amazing pose, bg, perch and comp. The soft light is beautiful too.
Could be my sub-par work monitor, but fine details seem a bit muted.
Did you run NR on the bird, or is it possibly from compression? (this is a ~151 KB image. I'm sure the original has tons of details.)

Sid and Charles, no NR at all anywhere on the image...and yes, the original is tack sharp (although I see this version as sharp, too).
