one from this morning at the pileated woodpecker nest in flamingo. there were three babies in the nest until last night. one boy and two girls. one girl fledged last night and mom and dad spent all morning chasing a red-shouldered hawk away from the baby girl that fledged. the chick ended up about eye level twenty feet from us and you could tell she was scared and didnt know what to do. then she flew right at us and landed three feet from us in a bush!!!!!:D it was crazy.
