I took 3 focus stacked images of the cut end of a log in my woodpile. Then I used Nik Lighten Center, Duplex and Film Efex Kodak Porta 400VC to get the tones I wanted. Then Topaz Clean and although I liked the result I wanted something abstract so I used Polar Coordinates. I liked the final result better - it reminds me of a Native American carving of a salmon run. Or maybe I've had a heatstroke:e3
Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions appreciated.

The soft color palette is lovely Cheryl. It has such a natural look to it. If you rotate it CCW it almost looks like a big fish going after the small salmon run on the right top- or maybe I am just nuts!!

Thanks, Denise. It also looks like a whale. (Maybe we're both nuts:S3:)

Subtle texturing on the wood..a soft color palette...and a whale. Anybody seeing a salmon must be nuts. :bg3::bg3::bg3:

Real nice abstract, Cheryl, and like your processing. Very pleasing combination of lines, tone, and color. I see a hallway with arches? and am still looking for the salmon!:bg3:

Hi Cheryl...I see a waterfall and a BIG fish...but I do have heatstroke...can't take this 35 degree heat with humidity that makes it feel like it is 40+ degrees. Can't wait for winter:bg3:

Thanks everyone for your comments. Actually, I think the "big fish" looks like the pre-historic cave paintings of bears - so maybe it's a bear going through the arches up a waterfall chasing a lizard:bg3:
