Upland Fractalius

I have spent much of the last week running my daughter around for her upcoming dance recital (today is the big day) and yesterday as we drove home along our road I noticed this Upland Sandpiper on one of the fence posts bordering one of the fields. I always have my camera on the front seat with me for such situations I turned the car around and drove up alongside the fence post and grab a few shots before it flew down into the grasses of the field. I used Fractalius and completely desaturated the image in Fractalius and applied this to a duplicate layer that I then reduced the opacity of that layer to lessen the Fractalius effect and bring back a little color too.

Really nice, Andrew. Love the simplicity of this. There is one little section in the middle of the rock (or whatever that is he is standing on) that might benefit from a little sharpening.
