Image taken with the 180mm macro, f/3.5@1/400. RAW image processed in LR; used Fractalius on a medium-opacity layer to give a glow to the bloom, and then used Topaz->Simplify->BuzzSim on another layer, at low opacity, to take a bit of the "edge" off. Cone flowers are one of those subjects that I'm always attracted to but can have a difficult time wrapping my head around...but can't resist trying!

A very nice combination of filters. Like that you took the edge off the fract. Maybe just a bit tight on the left for some, but I like it as presented.

Every year I am also attracted to some great cone flowers in front of the local library. I take lots of pics, but am never happy with them. Your photo hits it! I love the glow, the color and the subtle background. Beautifully done.

John, This has a wonderful look to it. The colors are rich and the glow is just the right amount!
