Andreas,
My favourite antelope, beautifully captured.
These are always difficult in particular the blacks, which are wonderfully rendered here. If I had a complaint which I do not really have perhaps the BG could be considered a littlle bright.
But this would soon be printed and up on the wall if it were mine.
Did you get any good Roan while you were there?

Agreed with Ken, wonderful detail and the image really pops nicely. I would also try darken BG slightly.

Congrats on the membership, Andreas!
What a stunning image of one of my favourite antelopes (of which I have no images personally!) :bg3:
Great exposure, detail and light.
I might be tempted to tone down the BG selectively using lumo masks, but not a big issue as it does pop nicely already.
Andreas - repost takes it up a notch. Well done. Love the detail.

Rachel

Hi Andreas, certain an excellent sighting and a good looking beast too.
Personally I find the stance a little awkward in profile, as it's not head on, nor 3/4, so you see this slightly 'twisted' look to the body and in this instance I might have looked at a head shot, going tighter in, to really get maximum impact of those horns and nice marking of the head and mane. Always clearer with hindsight. :S3: Might also suggest toning done the darker 'ridge' line on the RHS, optional, RP BKG looks better.

Hi Andreas,
You have taken a wonderful image of a Sable antelope, my favourite antelope. The changes to your repost has improved the image.
Well done and thanks for sharing.
Best wishes,
Mark.

Andreas,
Your repost is a great improvement, as for the comments on stance this is a typical Sable pose:2eyes2:. Getting a decent image of this rare and generally shy animal is remarkable. Just to see them is a wonderful experience, getting close enough for a head shot rarely happens, and of course a head on view eliminates the possibility of showing "A Certain Curvature of the Horn":w3

Amazing detail and great light. The toned down surroundings really work nicely. Very nice image
