Here's another image from my night photography workshop. This was the outside corner of a really neat hotel in downtown St. Augustine. I used Nik Tonal Contrast and a Fractalius sketch filter. At twilight I had my camera set at 4,500K white balance when we were shooting sunset at the Bridge of Lions. As it got darker I changed it around - I think I shot this at 3500K.
f/8, 30sec., ISO 100
Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions appreciated.:S3:

The color is a bit intense for me in the upper right of the building. Overall, though, I like the image. It's well composed and has a very nice illustrative quality.

I like the way you have presented this building. The shadows are just enough to define the architectural features and the overall softness adds the finishing touch. I like the color and also like the lighter yellow in the upper right.

Bright and different! Certainly OOTB, Cheryl! I like the base composition and fract has give an interesting texture. I like it :S3:

Cheryl, this is a very good use of Fractalius on an architectural shot; strong composition, from the spiral of the column leading you into the image, to the shadowed "arrow" pointing you back into the image yet again...from the lines of symmetry and pattern created by the windows to the "pyramid" of light and shadow created by the forms beneath them...nicely seen. I agree with Dennis...I'd probably tone down the intensity of the color in the URC of the image...it seems to draw my eye there, stopping the flow of the composition a little bit. Nicely done...wonderful processing.

Very nice work Cheryl, love the fract work and the colors are great to me. The only thing I might suggest is to tone down the brightest area just above the balcony.

Thanks, everyone. I'll tone it down this weekend.

Well, Love the lines in this comp, the pyramid under the window and the spiral column to the balcony all work nicley with architecture. The tree in BG adds great depth to the image and supports the bright lighting and shadows images on the building. I for one, wouldn't touch a pixel on this one. Excellent! Love the intense lighting............it makes the image, for me.

Not much left to say after the above. Agree with toning down a bit but love the frac and the comp.
