Hi guys. I took this one in my garden. I really liked the textures and lines on this one. Have I gone too far in my processing. I used Topaz Adjust to bump up the colors and tones, then NIK Color Efex Pro and finally Topaz lens effects for a slight diffusion effect. I welcome your input.
Cynthia, I can see why you photographed this. I might have gone for a vertical but I like what you did bringing in some texture from the background. I might tighen up the comp just a hair and I like your processing choice.
Nice to see spring has sprung in California, not much new growing here yet. I like the idea behind the image, the flower, I wish the background was even all the way..the black area could be filled...nice work, thanks for sharing.

Cynthia, I like the soft colors and details in this. I like the BG texture to the right of the flower, but personally I think I would go with a tighter, vertical composition. I also might show a little more of the flower stem if possible to move the flower higher up in the frame.
I like the shinny color you achieved on the Iris--unusual and lovely! I, too, would crop this so the BG does not distract. I tend to crop tightly, which is not most people's preference. Here is my version: I cloned some bg to the upper left corner and brightened up the tip of the flower. Just an idea to consider.
Thank you, Anita. I like your edits. I try not to do too much post cropping, so next time I try something like this, I will keep this in mind, and go for a tighter composition. I appreciate your time and input.
