This was also made with my phone. Adjusted in Lightroom and in CS6 beta I cloned/healed the seam down the head. Most of the "look" came from Nik HDR Efex Pro with other minor tweaks afterward. I also worked on the eyes to add lightness and a hint of color. (I'm going to submit this as an entry in the Postcards from Columbus exhibit next month.)

Judy, I might try to get the statue to stand out from the background. Amazing what can be captured with a phone.

I wonder why these lions never smile, they look so sad. Good advice above, nice work on the eyes..TFS

Michael, do you mean blurring the background? Phones do have a deep DOF unfortunately.

Thanks Paul. Yes it does look sad.

Very cool phone capture, Judy. Great subject and comp. I might try to darken the window above his head as it pulls my eye away from those amazing eyes.

Judy, You did a great job with the capture. I agree with toning down some of the brighter elements in the background.

Great perspective Judy. He does look tired and sad. I think if this were mine, I might try cropping out the vegetation on the right and, as others have said, I'd tone down the window a bit.
