I am thinking of purchasing an expensive 500 mm Nikon lens and wonder about the SageMax Protection Plan, 3 yr or 5 yr.
It seems to cover damage (dropping, humidity etc) rather than a home-owners rider for theft or the manufacturer's warranty.
It, also, seems transferrable if I ever sell it. Is it worth the price, about 10% of the lens? Do they really pay up when necessary?
