Combining the mallard and jonquils is a great idea, Mitch. Love the reflections in the water and the landing wings-out pose of the bird. The masking on the bird seems a little ragged. But getting the bird's reflection is a neat trick! TFS!

Thanks for your comments. I had added a bit of glow around the duck, and this might have created the ragged look. Is this better.

I like the repost much better. You might try softening the bird to match the soft flowers. Hope I'm not being too nit-picky, but I really love this idea, Mitch, so I think it's worth pursuing. :w3Quote:

Mitch, this is very creative. I like the repost better and am impressed with the duck reflection. It's a very OOTB vision. I might remove the red spot above the duck and just have a green space there - it would give him a little more room like he was dropping in out of the sky.:S3:

I think you are correct about the red spot. I like it better without it. I softened the duck very slightly also, but I wanted it to stand out from the background.

Hi Mitch....I agree the bird seems a bit too jagged even in the repost. I would as someone suggested soften the bird on the order of the flowers . I enjoy your work alot ....hope to see more
