In the Dark of the Night
This is a graveyard image that I first converted using Color Efex's "Midnight" filter to give it that deep, dark, smeared effect. I later went back and took the processed image and converted it to black and white - and still liked it just as much.
BTW - the ghostly swirl you see around the one gravemarker was created using a free Photoshop "smoke" brush. :w3

Jules, The midnight filter is one of my faves. Great idea to use the smoke brush stroke for the swirl. It adds a ghostly look to the image. Nice conversion.

Spooktacular processing and image, Jules. :S3:
I'm just going to have to look into those "smoke" brushes. Any favorites you could point us toward?

Hi Julie, love the processing and the smoke brush certainly does add the 'spooky' element needed. Nice work!

Steve, I can't seem to figure out where I got mine from but google "free photoshop brushes smoke" and you'll get a ton of choices!
