Love the graphic elements that make this such a strong subject for B&W, Denise. Neat leading lines from the clouds to bring us out to the end of the pier. Great energy from the waves and surf. :S3:
These images of the remains of structures always make me wonder about their past life.
This has a strong old look to it...the framing :eek3:, effects and composition all come together in a pleasing image...TFS
Love those reflections Denise. I feel the overcast sky really adds to the feel and mood with the B&W conversion.
Thanks folks, I appreciate the comments.
Nice image and application, Denise.
Only comment, if it were mine I would try a different depth of field. I might have focused on the front group of pilings and let the BG go. But as someone once said ... Y. I. Y. V. :w3 :bg3: I do like as is though...
Hi Denise, all of your photos of this pier are lovely. This one turned out very well too..I love the pano crop:S3:
Very nicely composed image, Denise, and B&W works well. Like the simplicity and reflection is nice touch.
Denise, the clouds and their reflections add so much to this...really a lovely b&w conversion!
Thank you all for the kind words and comments.
Denise, I love this composition... the layers of sky, surf and fg beach with reflection of the pier makes this a standout for me. The muted colors with overcast sky sets the mood. Excellent processing. TFS.
