Greetings, Jonathan! I'm a great fan of many different sorts of head angles, but here I'd rather see none of the right eye or all of it. Also, the slower shutter speed has caused some less than pleasing wing softness, and I'm distracted by the foliage at lower left. I suppose I'm being extra critical because your last owl image was breathtaking and warm and wondrous...
That's fine Jack, all of your observations are welcome - thank you.
I don't mind the wing blur, as the head and face are so very sharp. I do find the foreground vegetation slightly distracting, but am very envious of the image. Still, the last one was so spectacular as to soften the effect of this slightly. Did you have any more on the left? If so, I'd like to see it a bit more pano.
Hi Jon, Good placement of the owl in the frame, and I like the attentive stare. The overall colours look great, as does the softer light. Im fine with the owl's left eye more visible than the other one, as thats the angle he's flying towards you.
