A previously posted image, but I recently converted it to B&W and think I prefer it better this way. This was photographed on a very blustery, stormy day on Lake Superior so I decided to photograph the scene with a polarizer and 3-stop ND filter for a 20 second exposure.
This has lots of great energy in it, from the different blurs of the trees to the misty motion of the water. I think the huge boulder, unaffected by the weather and without any blur, is a marvelous contrast to all the action! Maybe there is a metaphor in here! Color would be lovely but most likely would have a different impact.

Andrew,
Greetings. Very cool. I like the, well, solid subject and the varying blur in the water & trees, particularly the misty effect of the long exposure & splashing water.
I see one little dot in the bottom left corner that I would clone. Altogether... good show!
Cheers,
-Michael-

I agree with Nancy and Michael. Wonderful energy, Andrew! Can't wait to try some more long exposures when the water softens up. :S3:

Andrew, I remember this one. The B&W gives it a completely different feel. Nice work with the blur, not too much but just enough!
