I've played around with this for several days as the original bkgd is very busy with grasses. Eventually I reduced the exposure on the bkgd to almost black. Then I applied Fractalius to the entire image, reduced opacity and restored the original eyes to the baby. Then Topaz Clean 3, stylize details, and erased the effect on the eyes of the baby again.

Nancy, I love this! Beautiful moment captured. I think if it were mine, I'd paint over the bits of grass that are showing through on the upper parts of the image and maybe lighten the grasses below a little. Just another approach :S3:

Nancy, I love the image and like the grasses on the ground. I like Maureen's suggestion about darkening the grasses in the upper half of the image. I think I'd darken the few really bright pieces of grass that are on the bottom edge also. Nicely done and a sweet scene:S3:

What a tender moment you captured! Very nice processing. I don't mind the grasses on the ground and agree with the suggestion to remove the scattered ones in the top half.

Thank you all for suggestions on the grasses. Those grasses have been killing me:bugeyed:. I've tried so many ways to depict them. I like the idea of removing the upper ones. I had much more fun working on the baboon mom and baby.
