I desaturated these Coscoroba Swans (from Chile) using the Hue/Saturation slider in PS. This really just impacted on the water. Then I used Color Sketch in Topaz. I erased the effects from both the eyes and the bills. Their bills are really this bright red.

Charming illustration. Love the composition, and the blue/grey background.

Very nice composition, Nancy. I like the look back pose and sketched effect... very nice use of filters and processing. I would have preferred to reduce effect of the gray lines cutting across the head of back swan, if it were mine. TFS.

Thank you all. Funny, I was concentrating on the swans and their wake and I didn't pay any attention to those gray water lines. Now I can't stop my eyes from seeing that long unbroken one above the back swan, acting like a low ceiling. I'll have to play with it some more.

Nancy, I really like the idea but was wondering what it would look like with not quite so much desaturation. It seems like the lower half of the image has a little more color which I find more appealing. The swans are beautiful:S3:

Nancy, this is really charming and I like it as presented. The only thing I might change is to lighten the eyes a bit so some color shows. Love the illustrative style and desaturated colors.

Nancy, I love the poses and the cute little faces. All good suggestions above but I do like it as presented too.:S3:
