A winter river detail image from last Friday, after a brief snowfall that melted away just as quickly. I used my 'waterfall setting' in Topaz BW Effects for this one.

Wow, I really like it! The ice crystals look beautiful! No snow or ice here this winter, it's in the 60s and 70s thanks to La Nina effect.
I keep looking at this, Andrew. I love the melting snow/ice crystals and the way you've presented the reflection and movement of the water below. Really nice. :S3:
Andrew, The ice crystals look great with your filtering. I think that the original capture was well seen.
Hi Andrew. Nicely seen, composed, and processed. This is very "cool." :S3:
Excellent composition, Andrew. I love it! The diagonal of the snow shelf and the colors of the melting crystal makes it very appealing. I am thinking there could be another alternative in making the water smooth. Beautiful processing!
Hi Andy ! .......I I love these kind of images. I have been doing similar detail photos as a project for a few years now ( not this one ) near a small creek Creek near where I live. This is really really nice. That blue edged ice is perfect and contrasts beautifully with a smooth blue water ( I like the suggestion made to somehow make the water even smoother). The only thing that bothers me just a bit is the crunchy white ice....it is too much of something. Still.....great work and hope to see more!
Hi Andrew; nice job of seeing this image! I like Indranil's suggestion of maybe smoothing the grain/texture in the background a bit...for me, it distracts from the textures you've captured so beautifully in the snow and ice, competing for attention. Great composition and color. Nicely done!
The ice almost looks real Andrew.

Late to the party, Andrew. This is awesome. Love the blue edge. Beautifully seen and captured!!!
Thanks folks for the comments, much appreciated. I may take another run at this and see if I can get smoother looking water.
