This was taken on a red-eye flight using my cell phone camera. Adjusted levels and color balance in CS5, added some Topaz Adjust 5 / vibrant / setting sun. Created a layer for distant portion of sky and stretched it down a little using free transform in CS5 to create a more distinct horizon line. Added some Topaz Detail / fill light to brighten colors.

Hi Brendan, I love the point of view from way up there - reminds me of my days of commuting by plane to Sacramento... Really does look like "a sea of clouds". Good job on the processing, looks really good!

I love looking out the window of an airplane! Like those foreground clouds and the slice of color on the horizon. Wish the clouds near the horizon were sharper. Lovely colors.

Great feel for this shot. Beautiful color. I'm with Anita on the clouds near the horizon, although I don't think I would like too much detail there.

Thanks folks, much appreciated. I agree about needing some more detail in the clouds near the horizon. I think I lost too much detail from NR in that area. Was trying to keep a balance between softness and sharpness. Think I'll experiment some more with it.

Your image really made me smile, Brendan. I love to sit in the window seat and watch the clouds :S3: I've never tried to photograph them, maybe I should next time.

The sunrise colors are very pleasing and I love the sea of clouds with their blue color.

Brendan, Nice job with the capture-I can hardly believe it was taken with a cell phone. I like the colors and the horizon looks good. I understand what the others are saying about the clouds near the horizon but it was a cell phone capture.:S3:

Hi Brendan. Beautiful colors! Way to take advantage of a photo op with whatever camera is available! Just to be different, I'll say that I would wish for more sharpness in the foreground clouds - but that may just be the "in the box" portion of my brain talking. :S3:
