Like the rich color on this, Mark, and the dry brush filter really gives it a great painterly feel. Nice bold composition, and black BG works well. I might darken the light area in the ULC. Nice work!

Hey Mark, really nice texture and colors to this one. It looks like it was painted on a surface like concrete block. Nice complimenting colors and good use of the tools.

Excellent composition--the placement of the flower feels just right. The leaves provide nice framing for the flower. There is a stem in the top third, above the flower, that I would clone out as it pulls my eye away from the lovely flower. I'd also darken to upper left corner just a bit. I usually don't like frames, but this one works quite well. Nice work.

Mark, This is a nice look for the Hibiscus, I agree w/ evicting the stem or softening it. If it were mine I'd crop down just below it. I think that would look nice also. But it's your vision.
