Taken midway through on an early morning session starting at 6.16am at Stockton Sandspit these Bar-tailed Godwits rose in flight as a raptor appeared. Gradually I am building up a series of flight images of the various waders that use this internationally important migrant wader refuge. Bar-tailed Godwits occur around all the Australian mainland and Tasmanian coastline.
