Remarkable clarity is achieved with the camera and lens combination; also: nice bird!
sweet and soft as we love it. excellent image
A good image is a good image. How close were you to this owl?
Great exposure and colours, he clearly must have been watching you closely.
Oh just beautiful Arash. love the light here. also that look .... kind a squinted and funny he looks:S3:
Anothre beauty, Arash. I just love to see their smiley face and beauty eyes.
The colors work perfectly together. I like every bit of this.

Perfect comp, stare and setting. Keep them coming Arash :)
Lovely. Comparing this bird with Grace's bird leaves me wondering if--with the mostly white head--this is a young male.
Thanks Artie, I think you are right looks like a young one...it seemed that all the owls in Ocean Shores were either juvies or young adults.
Thanks everyone for nice comments
The strange thing about this bird is the mostly white face and head.... It just might be a matter of wear though.... Adult males are pretty much white and mostly un-streaked....
We saw a few that had white face and head like this one, here is a different owl from the same location, this one was soaked in heavy rain he seemed a bit angry!

Thanks. Have never seen any like either of them. On LI, all that we ever saw were the heavily streaked young birds that we assumed were all ladies....
We saw two kinds of birds, the ones like above and the heavy streaked ones like this fellow. Is it possible that only young birds fly to this location during an eruption?

I think 1and 2 are young male , 3 are young female . Wonderfull images:bg3:
Though I agree with Geir the real answer is that I do not know for sure. Just a gut feeling on my part....
Thanks Geir.
The third picture. gray on the large feathers on the back, meaning that it is a young bird. I can not the English name of the feathers.
Arash, terrific composition with those grasses at the bottom. Loved the soft light and the soft feather details.
Hi Arash, I like the soft light in this, together with your comp. Well exposed, and stands out well against the OOF grasses.
Another excellent image Arash! I like the exposure, IQ and direct stare.
I am getting tired of typing the same thing!!! Excellent IQ, lovely light, good techs...
On the OP you have left out some words "until I next month"but I think you must be going somewhere soon? Where?

Enjoying these owls mate, just jealous as I get to see ours almost weekly but always at night so basically impossible to get good images... Another lovely image the textures look perfect and inviting (To touch) and the eyes are magic! Another lovely image Arash and TFS!
WOW!!! Excellent shot. Love the perch, great background, exposed very well, and great comp.
Well done.
