I was in the area and checked out this spot in Burlington which is sometimes good for BIF shooting of duck.
This time oly the gulls flew for me.

I think you nailed that one Karl super exposure and detail and I like the pose. I am not certain but there may be a slight blue cast, but I suspect that is reflection off the water.
I love the Pose and action and the angle of flight captured here by you Karl. Superb.
Hi Karl, the eye really pops in this, and I like the overall exposure. The gull is sharp, and nicely separated from the sea BG.
Karl, nice clean view of the head. good angle of the subject w.r.t camera. details and exposure also look very good. I'd have prefered a more blurred BG...but nothing you could have done with this shooting angle.
