A tender moment, and a vertical comp was the way to go. I do wish the bird on the right was not clipped though - were you trying to crop away another element out of the frame?

This small colony of Kings was in the early stages of establishing itself on Sounders Island, and the owner of the island (yes, the entire island) had erected a roped-off area to protect the colony from too close encounters, especially visitors from cruise ships. While I was and remained well outside the roped area to minimize my interference with the colony, these two headed straight to where I was sitting to see what their new friend was up to and stopped right next to a post for this "special moment." I knew I would have trouble with the post, but I could not resist the "special moment". Cloning and other techniques were not to my liking, so I decided on the clip and severe crop. Just as I could not resist taking the image, I could not resist sharing the "special moment " with my BPN friends, clip,server crop, and all.Quote:
