This is a 6 shot hdr processed in Nik HDR Efex and then converted to B&W in Nik Silver Efex. Final tuning was accomplished in PS , one brick wall was manufactured :S3:. All thoughts are appreciated as always.

I like how the chairs, table with board game, and furnace sort of make a meandering line for the eye to follow. I like the feel of the black and white-ish look and the HDR looks to me to be really well done. The only nit I would pick is that after I noticed that new-ish looking radio near the chair in the back, it really took me out of the feel of the rest of the picture. Overall, I think it looks really good.
Dave, I've used this technique a few times....mainly B & W and leaving one item in color....your image reminds me of my childhood, the man at the local corner store, always had time for a game of checkers. Really nice HDR work, good wall fabrication (I can't tell where). Very nice

Dave, This does have an old world feel and your processing added very nicely to the scene. I like that you left the checkerboard in color and didn't over saturate that color. Nicely presented.

Nope, I think you're stuck with it. It doesn't make it a bad image for me though. It's just the only thing that looks modern. It'd be nice if you could clone in a Victrola instead. lol
Nice job combining B&W with color. I also like the lens you used to create a sort of off-kilter look. Excellent composition.
Matt, after constructing that brick wall on the right, I was too exhausted to look for a victrola :bg3:. That area was an open closet with beach balls and junk. I'm sure I could have found a victrola in that store somewhere.
