A common Tanager in Colombia's Andes mountians. I wish I could have gotten the forehead better exposed.

Peter:
An attractive bird, alert pose, pretty clean view of him considering the dense cover.
The light angle from high left certainly created some lighting challenges, including the crown being over exposed compared to the rest.
I certainly think you might be able to do some recovery, if not done already.
I also would consider cropping a bit from the left to decenter the bird and toning down the broken end of the stick above his tail.
Be sure to post your camera/lens setup as well as any post processing done.
Cheers
Randy
Peter:
Here is a very quick stab at a repost of your image. I cropped as mentioned, toned down the broken stick, teased out a little texture on the crown and then used the color replacement tool to bring in a little blue. To help with the texture on the crown, used a combination of several Nik Color Efex Pro filters, detail extractor, dark contrasts.
You could do a better job with the raw file, but I think its worth a try.
Cheers

Thank you Randy. Very nicely done! Only thing is the cap on the bird is yellow.
Peter:
So sorry about the color issue! I just couldn't tell from the original, and had assumed it was blue! My bad.
Same concept however would work for a yellow crown!
cheers
