Wonderful shot. I love the composition and the fact that both birds are interesting. I'm very jealous. I have trouble getting a good image of ONE kingfisher and you got two (or are your African kingfishers less skittish than their North American cousins?)!

Ian, it depends where you shoot them, but in general they are a bit skittish! At Mankwe where these two were shot they are pretty much used to the people on the walk way and will do there thing some 2 or 3 meters away from you - which of course is a problem with the long lenses... so the 100-400 comes in real handy as a second!:S3:
